OUR ORIGIN
Rooted in a Personal Journey
The Tabernanthe was founded from a deeply personal journey of healing. After years of struggling with addiction and finding limited success through conventional approaches, our founder experienced a life-changing transformation through ibogaine therapy in USA. That experience became the foundation for a mission centered on hope, compassion, and responsible access to care.
Inspired by that journey, The Tabernanthe is dedicated to helping individuals and families discover trusted pathways to healing. We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate support, reliable education, and ethical care, regardless of their financial circumstances, background, or where they live.
Today, our community includes clinicians, advocates, researchers, and people with lived experience who are committed to advancing safe, informed, and respectful ibogaine-assisted care. Together, we strive to expand awareness of ibogaine therapy USA while connecting individuals with trusted resources and support for addiction recovery and mental health challenges.

The Tabernanthe Iboga
Tabernanthe Iboga is a perennial rainforest shrub native to Central West Africa, and the source of ibogaine – an alkaloid with remarkable properties for interrupting addiction cycles, processing trauma, and facilitating deep psychological healing.
We hold this plant as sacred and approach it with the reverence it deserves.
