Support for Families
When someone you love is struggling, you are struggling too. This page is for the spouses, parents, partners and friends of veterans and first responders, and it starts with what you can do.
What you can do
- Listen first. Let them talk, without fixing or pushing.
- Learn together. Read about support for veterans or support for first responders and write down questions.
- Offer to take the next step with them. That can be reaching out to us, a phone call, or a conversation with their own provider.
- Look after yourself. Your own rest and support matter too.
Where to start
You are welcome to contact our team yourself. We will explain how The Tabernanthe connects individuals with ibogaine treatment through our trusted partners, that full scholarships are available now for veterans and first responders, and what support looks like afterward.
If you or someone you care about is dealing with PTSD, addiction or the weight of what you've seen, contact us. We can talk through whether ibogaine treatment could be an option.
After treatment
Families often ask what to expect when their person comes home. Read life after ibogaine care.
If you are in crisis, call or text 988. Veterans and first responders can press 1 to reach the Veterans Crisis Line. This site is informational only and is not a substitute for medical care. Talk with your own provider about any health concern.
